Trishla Devi Kanohar Lal Balika Inter College

The area where Kanohar Lal resided though densely populated, but much lagged behind in girls education. There was not a single higher secondary school for girls within a radius of more than 2 km, due to which the girls of this area had to undergo lot of difficulties to receive higher education. Rising to the need of the hour, the philanthropist Seth Kanohar Lal established a girls college that was granted recognition by the U.P. Government to start Inter classes from 1st July 1969.

In the beginning both Inter and degree classes were held simultaneously in the same building. However, in 1978 the Inter classes were shifted to another building as per compliance of departmental orders and the college was named as ? Trishla devi KanoharLal Balika Inter College? thenceforth. The foundation stone was laid by Sh. G.D. Tapse, the then governor of U.P.The college was Intermediate standard only with a strength of 400 to 500 students per year upto 2004-05. Thereafter, the college got recognition for High School classes in 2006-07 under self-finance scheme.
